• At The Lab, we meet people as they are—welcoming each person like a guest entering our home. Every class, workshop, and experience is designed with the understanding that being truly seen and cared for transforms your practice, whether you're just beginning, healing, or deepening a lifelong journey.

We combine expert guidance with genuine hospitality, creating an environment where you feel received with warmth and supported with curiosity and accountability. Our approach isn't about perfection; it's about the meaningful connection that happens when people feel welcomed, empowered, and free to show up exactly as they are.

We believe that how you're received matters—and that's where real growth and healing begin.

  • We are guided by five core principles:

Openness — Everyone is welcome here. Like welcoming guests into our home, we receive each person with genuine warmth and care. We celebrate the diversity of Southern Vancouver Island and beyond, embracing each person's path with the understanding that being truly seen matters. Honest, transparent communication is at the heart of how we connect with students, faculty, and our community.

Leadership — True leadership is service rooted in hospitality. Our instructors lead with integrity, humility, and passion, creating environments where individuals feel welcomed, empowered, and supported. They inspire growth in others while remaining grounded in collaboration and the understanding that meaningful teaching happens through genuine connection.

Support — We empower each practitioner to explore what wellness feels like, on their own terms. Our carefully curated classes and guidance nurture your goals with the same attention to detail we'd give a cherished guest—helping you feel seen, supported, and capable at every step.

Evolution — Life, like yoga, is constantly evolving. We commit to ongoing learning, integrating new insights, research, and practices into our offerings. As students ourselves, we share these discoveries openly with our community, believing that growth flourishes when we remain curious together.

Connection — Connection is at the center of everything we do. We cultivate spaces where the energy you walk into supports your well-being, rooted in safety, respect, and inclusivity. Our zero-tolerance policy for discrimination reflects our dedication to creating brave, welcoming communities. Giving back to our people, practices and land is woven through mindful action, partnership and service.

  • In 2010, what began as Moksha Yoga rebranded to The Lab Victoria under the leadership of Heather Macleod. She had a simple idea: create a space where people could explore movement, wellness, and self-discovery in a supportive, inclusive community. In 2024, Cody White and Sheena Naidu brought that vision to a new chapter, realizing a longtime goal of creating a collaborative space where people can gather, heal, and grow together.

Over the years, the Lab has flourished through shared responsibility—anchored by passionate teachers who lead through service, dedicated students who contribute their own wisdom, and a collective belief that well-being thrives when we support one another's journeys.

Today, we continue to evolve as a community rooted in collaboration and mutual care, guided by integrity, humility, and our commitment to serve both each other and the broader community with heart.
